As part of the European Research Agendas for Disability Equality (EuRADE) project, the European Disability Forum and its partners - the University of Leeds and Maastricht University - conducted a consultation with Disabled People's Organisations, in European countries, about their research experiences, their interest in research praticipation, as well as their priorities and needs for future research.

The primary purpose of the briefing seminar was to present the principal findings and recommendations arising from this consultation. It also created a unique opportunity to bring together, and promote dialogue among; disability related academic and research communities, research policy-makers, funders and other key stakeholders interested in the research that supports disability equality and non-discrimination in Europe.

The programme was designed to include a panel discussion aimed at facilitating a broad-based exchange of views on the perspective of future research in Europe, and on how the voice of disabled people may best be represented in shaping European research agendas.
